Grey Hair Treatment FAQs – PPD-Free & Sensitive Scalp Safe

This FAQ page answers the most common questions about Inochroma’s Grey Hair Treatment, including how it works, how long results last, and whether it is safe for sensitive scalps. Our treatment is PPD-free, ammonia-free, and designed for gradual, natural-looking grey coverage.

Should I use the Grey Hiding Treatment on dry or wet hair?

For best results, the Grey Hiding Treatment should be applied to dry hair. Applying it to wet hair may dilute the formula and reduce colour absorption, especially for resistant or fully grey hair.

Why are there dark spots in the Grey Hiding Treatment?

The pigment in the Grey Hiding Treatment reacts with oxygen and naturally darkens over time. Dark spots may appear near the opening of the container due to air exposure. This does not affect product safety or performance unless the entire product has turned fully black.

Why doesn’t the Grey Hiding Treatment work on my hair?

Grey hair can be more resistant to colour absorption. Some users may need 2–3 applications, especially if hair is thick, coarse, or completely white. For faster and deeper results, we recommend using the Inochroma Grey Hiding Booster Serum before applying the treatment.

What is the Grey Hiding Booster Serum and how does it work?

The Grey Hiding Booster Serum helps prepare the hair cuticle, allowing pigment to bind more effectively. It reduces the number of applications needed and improves colour longevity, especially for stubborn or resistant grey hair.

Is the Grey Hiding Treatment safe for sensitive scalps?

Yes. The Inochroma Grey Hiding Treatment is PPD-free, ammonia-free, and peroxide-free, making it suitable for sensitive scalps and individuals who experience irritation from traditional hair dyes. A patch test 48 hours before first use is always recommended.

Will the Grey Hiding Treatment stain my skin or clothes?

Minimal staining may occur if the product is left on skin or fabric. We recommend wearing gloves and old clothing during application. Applying a thin layer of petroleum jelly along the hairline can help prevent skin staining.

How long does the Grey Hiding Treatment last?

Results typically last 2–4 weeks, depending on hair type, washing frequency, and application method. Because the treatment is gradual and non-permanent, regular maintenance is recommended for best results.

Can I use the Grey Hiding Treatment on previously coloured hair?

Yes. The Grey Hiding Treatment can be used on colour-treated hair. Results may vary depending on the existing colour and hair porosity. A strand test is recommended before full application.

Can people allergic to traditional hair dyes use this product?

The Grey Hiding Treatment is designed for individuals sensitive to traditional dyes containing PPD or ammonia. However, we always recommend performing a patch test before use, especially for users with known sensitivities or reactive skin.
